I don’t know if it’s the effects of a dreary economy, or if all of the tourists are hooking up with WebCam girls on sites like AsianBabeCams, but whatever the reasons, the bars are quite empty on most nights. Whilst at the same time, all of the big fancy hotels are staying full. Does anyone else know why? There have been a lot of discussions on the boards speculating about why. That being said, PIatNight did enjoy a rather informal barhop this month with a good number of long-time members in attendance. Read more about that and other activities in town over on the board. Nevertheless, it’s probably a great time to be in AC barhopping, as you will surely have your pick of the litter.

I’d also like to take this chance to inform you about a few new websites out there:

Angeles City Trikes – A new service in Angeles which offers you the option of renting a Trike (with driver) for your stay in AC by the hour (225 pesos), by the day (1,200 pesos) or by the week (7,700 pesos). Might not be necessary for everyone, but it’s nice to see someone offering us the service as a convenience. There is something to be said for reliable and trustworthy trike drivers. (the site even includes their pictures and names) It means no hassling over the trike fares between Fields and Perimeter and not having to worry about getting stabbed over it. Their Trikes and nice & new, with extra-capacity sized side-cars for some of you…um….larger Western gentlemen out there. Check out their website to learn more.

City of Angels Magazine – Here’s an interesting new thing I came across the other day. The site describes itself as “a monthly magazine that provides residents of and visitors to Angeles City with an overview of all that our beautiful city has to offer. From social and cultural events to business opportunities, from local news to life-style tips, from shopping to the TV-guide, this magazine guides its readers in an informative and objective, yet entertaining way to all events and happenings that make Angeles City such an attractive place to live, visit or invest in.” They also provide an “Angel of The Month” and some of them are simply delicious looking!
