Since someone asked a question about Patio Inn in the chat window here, I figured I’d use the oppurtunity to do a spot on them.  On my first trip to AC in 2002, I stayed in a standard room at the Orchid Inn for about $20 dollars.   Those days are long gone I’m afraid, but if you’re on a budget and can sacrifice some of the frills, there are still a handful of places which offer rooms that are considerably cheaper than the mainstream hotels.

The Patio Inn is one of them.   Located in Diamond Subdivision, it’s not too far away from the bars.  (that’s important!)  They offer an air-conditioned room for a nightly rate of 1,100 pesos, and slightly cheaper for longer stays.  They also have a 24-hr bar, restaurant, business center and library, along with Wi-Fi for you internet junkies.  They also have apartments for rent if you need something long-term.  For reservations and inquiries, you may email them at:  patioinn@yahoo.com
