Winston Wu and HappierAbroad.com

Ok, I came across this on YouTube and decided to share. The guy who put this together is named Winston Wu. He’s an enthusiastic fellow who has been traveling overseas to different countries sampling the female inhabitants of each. Sounds like someone we can relate to, yes?

Only problem is, he takes an extremely self-aggrandizing approach to it. He was actually a member of PIatNight for a while but they ended up banning him due to how much he irritated the majority of the members there. He now runs his own website called HappierAbroad.com, in which he, among other things, is trying to sell his various books on the subject.

He is basically trying to spread the philosophy that women and the dating scene in America suck so bad, that if you’re a single guy, you’re much better off going overseas. While I agree with the overall message, there’s something about the way he conveys it that doesn’t sit well with some people.

Obviously the folks on PIatNight didn’t like it, and they are usually a pretty fair and even-keeled crowd. It all came to a hilt when he kept telling the board how fantastic he was and how he was able to get way hotter Filipinas in the Philippines because he was “Asian” looking and the hotter girls actually prefer that. So yeah, bye-bye Winston from PIatNight.

Hi Jimmy, thanks for blogging about me and my site. PIatnight was years ago. I did nothing wrong there. I even gave some great advice for getting from the bus station in Manila to Clark. Majority is often wrong. You know that, otherwise the feminists in America would be the bastion of truth, and not us. Groups are often insane.

At least my site doesn’t have porno on it. And at least I show my face. My site is very unique among expat and international dating sites cause of all the intellectual deep content on it that other expat/dating sites do not have. See my list of articles for many examples:

And if you visit my forum, you’ll see that my posters have great insight and depth, far beyond that of typical mongers. I’m probably the only foreigner in Angeles that is devoted to philosophy and truth, not just sex. That makes me extremely unique. My site and its many praises and quotes about me speak for itself. The proof is all there.

Then to that I say you’re slacking brother. You need to step it up!

Nah, just kidding. You do your thing, I do mine.

But for the sake of argument, I don’t think you or anyone else can deny that a big part of the draw to go “seek happiness abroad” in places like the Phils is sexually motivated. Let’s face it: A lot of guys can’t get a sniff of pussy back home due to the backwards and corrupted society.

Anyone who preaches to others that they’re are the “only foreigner in Angeles” to do anything will probably rub most “typical mongers” the wrong way. (as you did on PIatNight) The uppity, superiority tone is not very becoming.

And besides, most guys are PROUD to be a “typical monger”. That is what my sites are all about. Not sure why you make it sound like it’s a “bad” or inferior thing. The argument could be made that anyone partaking in the same activities but thinking or preaching otherwise is simply in denial or too high on their own horse.

I do “get” your “philosophy” even though I’m just a “typical monger” who also has a “porn” site. Your “philosophy” is pretty much in line with how most mongers truly feel. I don’t think it’s anything invented at HappierAbroad.com or JimmyRegina.com. Guys have been doing this for a long time. People like you and I are simply carrying the torch. Consider it an honor to do so, and maybe re-analyze your approach from time to time.

I did like your Star Wars intro theme of that YouTube video though. I’ve always been a closet Star Wars geek. It’s right up there with typical mongering activities and porn for me.
