Perimeter Road
Some say Fields Avenue officially turns into Don Juico Avenue (or “Perimeter Road” as it’s more commonly called) as soon as you get past the Checkpoint Jeepney Terminal heading west. I say its right around Gentleman’s Club/America Hotel and this is my website, so that is where it starts.
The Bars of Perimeter Road offer a distinctly different, and sometimes quite refreshing, alternative to their Fields Ave counterparts. With earlier opening times, cheaper prices and a more “laid back” atmosphere, they are essential stops on any afternoon or early evening in Angeles. Another nice thing about Perimeter Road is that several places offer “in-house” servicing for those who wish to “blow off some steam” along the way. This comes in handy before a long night of drinking down on Fields, when your troop might be too wasted to stand at attention. (well, the street vendors sell pills for that too)
Some of my favorites on Perimeter are Candy Bar, Honey-Ko’s, Matrix Brawn and Nasty Duck.
