In the “Business-as-Usual” category this week, Honey-Pot Bar was raided the other night.  Facts are sketchy as always, but it sounds like the three managers, 2 mamasans and 20+ girls were hauled away on a bus to Manila.  (managers & manasans “arrested” and the girls “rescued” no doubt).

Supposedly they were brought to Camp Crane in Quezon City for “investigation”.  One rumor is that the mother of one of the female staff working at the bar allegedly filed a complaint for an unknown reason as of yet.  Why this resulted in the raid of the entire bar is anyone’s guess.  But can anyone be surprised?   Come on, this is just same ol’, same ol’ for the bars of Angeles.  Nothing really new here, so, move along….move along.

Starting this Saturday Night, King of Diamonds Bar will introduce “Saturday Night Poke-Her Night”  from 6:00pm until 12 midnight.

Here’s how it works:   You buy a ladies drink and then draw a card from the deck which will be handled by your waitress.  Then, your waitress will draw a card as well.  If your card is higher than the waitresses you get to pick a prize!  However, if the waitresses card is higher than yours, well, as they say, you get “fuck all”, try again!

Now here’s where it gets interesting:  If you draw the “King of Diamonds”, you get up to p500 off your bill!  If your waitress draws the “King of Diamonds”, you buy her a Ladies Drink (single)!

There’s a 1 in 52 chance of that so you guys are bound by the “luck of the draw” I guess would be the best way to put it.   So get out to KOD and try your luck and have some competitive fun as well!
They will run this every Saturday Night indefinitely and see how it goes.  Customer/staff interaction is always a good time!

This Saturday, April 30th, from 2:00pm til’ 10:00pm, VooDoo will have a joint celebration of two great days all in one!  The Birthday for lovely afternoon Mamasan, “Mommy Anne” & Hairball Awareness Day!

Hairball Awareness Day, WTF?  Well, ya know that if you lick the kitty too much then you yack up a hairball?  Yes, this is Angeles, so most of you get the joke.  (if not then my heart goes out to ya).  And, yes this is a legitimate holiday—–usually only celebrated by twisted folks like us anyway!

However back to the Birthday…

Mommy Anne has been a solid figure in VooDoo since back when Stuart (a.k.a “Sloppy”) was rocking the joint in 2007 timeframe, and has always been a fun, friendly lady to party with!
So come out between 2pm – 10pm and celebrate & wish her well for another great year!  There will be a “Ladies Drink” prize draw, Shooter specials every hour, Snacks, laughter, Fun, Sexy VooDoo girls & More!

I have a confession to make:  I haven’t set foot in Forbidden City yet.  Not sure why exactly, but I passed it up on my last trip.  To me it represents the “glam movement” in AC, specifically Lower Fields.   Spent a lot more time in Perimeter (for personal reasons too), but some of my friends were in Forbidden City, Atlantis and Club Asia seemingly every night.   Maybe it’s just this video, but everything appears “gold” in there.   Oh well, anyplace with friendly Filipinas can be a good time I guess.   I suppose a monkey joke about the girl climbing the pole towards the end would be too easy.
