Why are the Casi Cielo girls so tired at 2am?
by jreg81 on Feb.09, 2010, under Front Page
February 9th, 2010
At noon, the girls are hard at work, building their new bar. Those are some dedicated employees.
It’s now 6:00 p.m. and the girls are calling it a day after the twelve long hours working construction. Emma’s big round ass looks positively delicious.
At 2:00 a.m., the hard-working girls are all tuckered out. No explanations needed.
And just a reminder, Casi Cielo’s “Grand Opening Pool Party” for it’s secondary location will be held at Kokomo’s on February 13th at 12:00 p.m.
Hotel & Club of the Month – February 2010
by jreg81 on Feb.02, 2010, under Front Page
February 2nd, 2010
Since this is February, I thought it would be somewhat appropriate to make “Valentino’s” the Hotel of the Month, don’t you? This is one of the newer hotels in town, and it looks pretty nice. It’s located only about two blocks off of Fields Ave, which is nice if you want a little peace & quiet.
They have three types of rooms starting with the Deluxe at around $42, the Balcony around $60 and the Executive for about $68. With 22 rooms, it’s not a huge hotel, so book early if trying for a room there. For more info, visit our hotel page for Valentino’s, here.
Now, for the Club of the Month, I chose The One-Eyed Wench. The main reason I chose it, besides it being new, was because I love the name. Their website is still under construction, but the title proclaims, “The One-Eyed Wench: Cold Grog and Warm Wenches!” Haha, I love it. It is located directly across from Kokomoz, nestled just beside Treasure Island, so you really can’t miss it.
I haven’t heard much about it yet on the boards, but I’m sure we will soon since its located right on Fields “Grand Central”. If you happen to drop in before I do, shoot me an email and let me know how “warm” those “wenches” really are, will ya?
Updated Bar Data Sheets – January 2010 editions!
by jreg81 on Jan.16, 2010, under Front Page
January 16th, 2010
There are so many great resources online these-days that mongers can plan out their AC trips like Operation Desert Storm. Almost every business in AC worth anything has its own web presence by now, and there are all of these super-helpful tools like AE’s interactive map and PIatNight’s Bar Data Sheets available; things that completely remove all of the guess-work.
Sure, for most veterans, they may seem unnecessary and like “overkill” maybe, and there are even some newbies out there who might prefer “guesswork” and exploring it all on their own. However, there are a lot of people discovering AC who are not veterans and who want as much info as they can get. I would venture to say that because of the internet, the “word” about AC is spreading at an exponential rate compared to 10 or 15 years ago when it was mostly just “word of mouth”. Using some of these tools is like using an electronic “fish finder” gadget on your boat versus simply casting your rod overboard and hoping for a bite.
Now, while I wouldn’t call going to every last bar in AC to gather this data “hard work” exactly, it still must’ve been slightly tedious to accomplish accurately (especially after a few San Migs). So, a lot of credit should go to the guys at PIatNight for doing it for us.
Newly updated for January 2010, here are the PIatNight Bar Data Sheets. You’ll find the operating hours, (incl. Happy Hours), ladies and local drink prices, and EWR prices for each & every bar on Fields Ave and Perimeter Road. Simply “right click” to download yourself a .pdf copy of each.
Clubs & Bars page updated!

Yup, that’s right. I finally did it. The clubs and bars page is finally up to date. Almost all of AC’s 100+ clubs are now listed.
Thinking of the Lewis Grand? They now offer shuttle service to Fields..
by jreg81 on Dec.26, 2009, under Front Page
December 26th, 2009
In a sensible business move, the Lewis Grand guys are now offering a shuttle service for their guests to and from Fields Ave. Right now, they have 5 vans and 1 “double-stretch limousine” for the service. Yes, you read that right. No shit, a double-stretch white limo. I can’t even imagine riding down to Fields Avenue in something like that, but whatever, haha.
The shuttle will run every 30 minutes, starting at 7pm and going until around midnight. However, Lewis Grand’s manager, James (hotrod on PIatNight) said “guests at the Lewis Grand can always avail of our free, 24 hours, Van service, to Fields Avenue, and can also call / text us, to be picked up at any time… At no extra cost.”
Well I must say, that is a nice deal. When considering a hotel further away from Fields such as the Lewis, you need to factor in the distance and cost to & from Fields each day. The trike driver assholes now want minimum 100 pesos just about anywhere you go, so not having to deal with them by utilizing this service might be a swaying factor if you were unsure about the Lewis Grand before.
And if you’re still undecided, just think of what it would be like to show up for your next barhop on Fields in THIS:
Body Painting at Club Asia
by jreg81 on Dec.17, 2009, under Front Page
December 17th, 2009
Another one of the newer clubs in town I visited last month was Club Asia. It’s down towards the end of Fields past Blue Nile near the new complex before the McDonalds area. (if that makes any sense, ha) I was impressed with how “deep” it is. You walk inside and there’s a long stage to your right full of dancers. Then there’s a bar, and a short set of stairs leading to another long stage-full of girls on your right. We got there late so a lot of the top talent was gone, but I still saw a dozen or so I could have taken.
Every Friday night, at 9:00, 10:30 and 12:00, they have body painting there at Club Asia. I wasn’t there on a Friday night, so I didn’t witness it myself, but it’s something you might keep in mind if you are there on a Friday.
Hotel of the Month – DM Residente
by jreg81 on Dec.16, 2009, under Front Page
December 16th, 2009
Why is DM Residente this month’s Hotel of the Month? Well, because I just stayed there, that’s why! And what better hotel to feature since I can give you an honest personal appraisal of it? With so many new hotels in AC, you might have a difficult time choosing one. It all comes down to what you need in a hotel. Some guys care about location most, some care about amenities and reputation, while others look for the best deal price-wise. Me personally, I’m probably a combination of all of those things. I still remember the days when rooms at the Orchid Inn were $18 a night. Those days are gone for the most part. All of the “big name” places down on Fields don’t offer anything much lower than $30 or $35 a night. And then there’s the big new places like ABC and Wild Orchid who start out at $80 or $90 and go up from there.
The good news however, is that even in this day & age, there are still some decent places to stay for a good value. I was pleasantly surprised with my stay at DM Residente. I got a standard room for 950 pesos. That is just a little over $20 bucks. It’s 2002 all over again. The room was cozy (read: small) but I don’t need or want a lot of space, so it was just fine for me. Aircon worked great. Water was hot and with good pressure. Bed was comfortable and staff was adequate or better. The only thing some may dislike is the location. It is several blocks off of Fields Avenue. It’s in the direction of Norma’s Money Changer if you know what that street is on. All of the Trike Driver’s know where it’s at, so no worries there. In daylight you can walk to Fields in 2 minutes. It’s that close. For me personally, I quite liked the secluded, out-of-the-way location. I don’t like the feeling I get when I stay closer to Fields. It feels like everyone is watching your every move when you go to & from of your hotel.
DM has all of the basic amenities too. (small pool, wireless internet, room service, etc) Check out their site from the complete list. And if you do want a more spacious room, they also offer Deluxe (Php1050), Junior Suite (Php1195), Suite (Php1295) and Executive Suites (Php1800) all for very affordable prices. If you want something even bigger & nicer, they even have Villas (Php3950) and Condos (Php1950-5000) at their other location just a few blocks away. It’s really a nice alternative to the “big name” places in AC. I would recommend it to anyone asking me where to say—–as long as you don’t mind the location and taking a trike at night. Trikes, oh god, I’ll save that rant for another post.
The “glory days” of AC
by jreg81 on Oct.02, 2009, under Front Page
October 2nd, 2009
Anyone who has been to AC more than once knows how quickly it changes from trip to trip. Just looking at it from my perspective of only going since 2002, I’ve witnessed countless changes over those 7 years. Too many to mention in one post really, but all of the things like new hotels, fancy new bars, the paving of the streets, much maligned price increases, cleaning of the squatter stalls along Fields, flights to/from Korea into Clark Field, SM Clark Mall, etc. The place really has changed in the short time that I’ve been going.
Another thing you notice about AC is the diversity of tourists who frequent it these days. Guys from literally every corner of the globe. Brits, Aussies, Yanks, Japs, Koreans, Chinese, Indians, Arabs, Eastern Europeans and more. But the true history behind AC was the post-WWII alliance between the PI and the U.S. military. Clark Air Base was the largest U.S. air base outside the continental United States and thousands upon thousands of U.S. service members called it home over a period stretching 40+ years. I’ve only heard bits and pieces of stories from the old-timers who were there in those days, but every time I do, I find myself yearning for more.
There is just something extremely interesting to me about hearing every little detail about “how it was” in Angeles City’s yester years. If you’re an AC-nut like me, and you ever get a chance to talk to one of those old AC-vets, ask him to describe some of his experiences from back then. By all accounts I’ve heard, it was truly a glorious age and I almost find myself wishing I could go back in time to it. Recently on the Angeles2.com message forum, a poster by the nickname of “Longtimer” was kind enough to describe some of his mental highlights from his “glory day” experiences:
“I apologize for showing my age and boring you guys but I’ve had a few and am feeling particularly reminiscent tonight……….rewind to 1969 (Clark) when I was a kid. While hippies and race riots dominated the headlines back home….
50,000 GIs were permanent party or passing thru the PI on the way to (or back from) Viet Nam…….bars to the right of Fields all the way to downtown and bars to the left all the way to McDonalds in Dau, most black guys drank in a half-dozen ratholes just past the Abacan bridge…with ALL the clubs staffed by 25,000 bargirls, most of whom resembled Annette Funicello (Google her, rookies)…….filipina Gloria Diaz won the Miss Universe contest that year, filipina Margie Moran won it again in 1973 right after Bruce Lee died and suddenly everybody was Kung Fu Fighting…The “super” clubs back then had world class live bands that played it all……as I danced to the 30-minute version of The Door’s “Light My Fire” until 4am….rock star strong and handsome, they squealed when I walked in, ….no Go-Go dancers like now but always the “special” shows, including the nastiest shit you can imagine….and, OH! the rock & roll…..three songs for 25 centavos on every juke box and they all had ‘House of the Rising Sun’….a peso for a drink…..and no such thing as “ladies drinks.” But back then a dollar was only worth four pesos….Martial Law and the floods of ’72…Operation Homecoming when the POWs were released in ’73 (they stopped here first)…..Carter giving the bases away in ’79….Aquino’s assassination in ’83 and the peso rate doubling over night….the People Power revolution in Feb ’86 followed by a bases employee strike that ended when 100s of bargirls pulled down the barricades that kept the GIs from coming out….the GIs killed by the NPA in ’87 all over town….and, of course, the eruption of Mt Pinatubo in ’91, first time since before Ferdinand Magellen was even born……destroying our Sodom and Gomorrah………..BUT NOT FOR LONG……
and how about that on-base Airmans and NCO club? Topless dancers at lunch time…all nude shows with audience participation on membership nights.. slot machines, and back room poker games where I made $1000s fleecing the rookies and transients…
Bad stuff……the gestapo tactics of Merchandise Control….chain-gangs of GIs who committed crimes forced to do slave labor in the hot sun…. having a drunk filipino guy point a .45 calibre in your face downtown….pre-fastfood skinny-ass girls….
There was never really a lot of money to be made on the black market in the PI, other than a few bucks here and there….it sure wasn’t worth ending your career over.Back in the early 70s they “forced” me (Ha!) to go to Thailand for a year. I had government approval to leave my family behind here at Clark…for medical and APO mail only…zero BX/Commissary. When I came back on leave mid-tour, Merchandise Control in its wisdom allowed me to spend $40 (only) which I spent on stateside canned goods. When I tried to take the stuff home thru the main gate, they actually detained me for an hour to verify the purchase and interrogate me as a suspected black marketeer.
This kind of shit was driven by a corrupt, xenophobic Philippine government (long before globalization) that tacked a 100% duty on imports so as not to compete with any of the local cartels ripping off the people.
You guys try to remember yourselves just out of high school. Young, dumb, and full of cum, right? When I got the assignment, had to find a map to find out where they were sending me….and I was PISSED because my dumb silly ass wanted to stay in the States. Arrived on a dry June day in ’68, and will never forget the blast of hot air in my face as I stepped from the plane. Open bay (no private rooms) barracks, empty because most guys were shacking up downtown. The smiles, the traffic, the noise, khaki uniforms….think of the movie “Good Morning, Viet Nam” except that, in stead of counting the days until we left, a lot of us were trying to find ways to EXTEND our tours. Some even had their girlfriends file bogus charges against them so that, under the Status of Forces agreement, they would be put on “International Hold” and not be allowed to leave the country until the case was settled…which could be years. And when we finally had to leave for a new assignment, we spent our entire careers either being at or (trying to get back to)… Clark. It was a time and place that fundamentally changed a man, making it really tough to readjust to “normal” life back home. In those days, there were other great places to get laid…Thailand had seven major airbases, Korea was actually cheaper then the PI, Taiwan was paradise, even Okinawa was fun….it was a smorgasbord for GIs, all thanks to the war in Viet Nam. And I often feel guilt about that.its been a great life….wouldn’t trade it for anything. Going to sleep now. Hope I wake up with my usual hard-on.”
Club Tropix Video – “But you buy me drink when you get back?”
by jreg81 on Sep.19, 2009, under Front Page
September 19th, 2009
Nothing too special here, just the usual frivolous bar conversation between a foreigner (not sure which nationality) and an AC bargirl in Club Tropix. This guy, with his think accent and all, is trying to explain something about his travel plans to the girl who has no idea what he is talking about, and obviously doesn’t give a flying shit as long as he promises to buy her a drink when he returns from wherever.  It’s pretty funny in a stereotypical way, haha.
Some September updates…
by jreg81 on Sep.08, 2009, under Front Page
September 8th, 2009
Ok, I’m finally back to posting after a nice long holiday weekend of boozing and cavorting with women of questionable repute.  There has been quite a lot of happenings since the last time I posted. New bars opening, old bars closing and different little side-show dramas in town. I’ll get to most of those in the next few days, but I will talk about one story that I felt was particularly note-worthy.
The famed and beloved Pacific Breeze Hotel has come under trouble from the BIR (the Philippines’ version of the IRS) and they have actually been CLOSED down for the past few days. I don’t know all of the details, but something about the not paying the correct amount of taxes on their business earnings (according to the BIR).
However, when you see stories like these in AC, it usually has to do with the subject not being in good standing with the correct political camp in the local government. There has also been speculation that the BIR’s attention was directed towards PacBreeze by a certain rival hotel group (who are named after a purple flower) whom they’ve had a bitter, long-standing feud with. Hence, adding to the “drama” factor in all of this. It was reported on the AC2 message forum that Pacific hopes to be re-opened by September 9th (tomorrow) but we shall see. I do hope they get it sorted out because P.Breeze is probably the best-run hotel in Angeles City and one of my personal favorites.
As I said, more on the other news in town later. Now getting to this month’s photo albums. First, another great set of barhopping snaps from Don.  He includes plenty of butt shots, tit shots and stage line-ups of Tropix, Voodoo, Crystal Palace, Dollhouse and more. I don’t know how he is still able to drink beer and grab tits and ass with as many photos as he is taking in these bars, but he manages it somehow; and we’re all thankful for that, aren’t we?
September’s Girl of the Month is Eloise, another model from AsianCamModels.com . As you’ll see from the pics, this slinky little raven-haired cutey knows how to strike a pose. I can’t give you any contact info on her, but if you’re in AC you might come upon her (no pun) walking down Fields avenue one afternoon. If you’re a world away, you can always go to her site and strike up a chat with her or the other thousand girls online.
Kokomoz Pool Party yesterday? I missed it.
by jreg81 on Aug.10, 2009, under Front Page
Apparently Kokomoz had a pool party this past Sunday. I didn’t even hear about it until now. It’s been a while since they’ve had one there I think, so this came as a nice surprise. Starting at 1pm and going until 6pm, they had “interactive games” with girls from 5 different bars there and NO ADMISSION FEE. That is a welcome change compared to past parties there. In case you completely missed it like I did, here are some video clips: (courtesy of VIPasia)
Awesome interactive Angeles City map. Just awesome.
by jreg81 on Jun.19, 2009, under Front Page
June 19th, 2009
This is something I always dreamed would be available, and now it is. Thanks to the guys at AsianEscapades.com, there is now a free, totally interactive, click-able strip map of the hotels, bars and restaurants of Angeles City. It really is quite extraordinary. It takes Wayne’s AC Map, which is very good mind you, about ten steps further. On each icon, you can click and get an outside frontal view of each establishment, along with a small photo album of it as well. (i.e. – lots of bargirl pics) It is basically like going on a virtual barhop down Fields Avenue.  This is an awesome tool to prepare with if you’ve never been there, or if you want to reminisce about your last trip. We all should be thankful to those guys who must have put in a tremendous amount of work to put this together. Very well done.  And if that weren’t enough, the page offers other little goodies, like this super promotional “Angeles After Dark” video. If watching that doesn’t get you excited about AC, then you’re a limpdick mo-fo who doesn’t have any business going there anyway.
