The Kokomoz Pool Party? Did anyone go?

by on Jan.04, 2011, under Front Page

January 4th, 2011

If not, here’s some video from the event last week.  Nice to see some familiar faces in the crowd.  The wet t-shirt nipple shots & t-backs aren’t bad either.

POOL PARTY ALERT – This Sunday, December 26th, 12pm @ Kokomoz

by on Dec.23, 2010, under Front Page

December 23rd, 2010

Posted on PI@Night by AngelesKokomos

“Greetings and Christmas Salutations from the Crucible of hedonistic free thinking that is the Kokomos management office.

We at the office have heard the cries and lamentations of the mongers ‘when will there be a pool party?’ I myself often wondered if we would ever get to hold one again. But one evening whilst enjoying a good bottle of rum a star fell from the sky (it could have been someone burning rubbish from a balcony but for the purposes of this it was a star.)

I knew something would change. And sure the next day, we are planning this party.

It is my great pleasure to inform you, my fellow mongers that a pool party will be held in Kokomos on Sunday 26th December, 12 noon till 6pm.

You can get all you can eat and drink (local drinks) for 1000p pre-order. The tickets are available at Kokomos cashier, Voodoo, King of Diamonds, Roadhouse and AngelWitch.

However some might enjoy imported drinks, so for the more discerning lasingero amongst us a 1500p entry fee (if you buy a ticket before the event.) will enable the picky drinker to enjoy all you can drink (imported) and eat at the party.

If however you decide to come on the day, the prices are 1200p for the local all you can drink and 1700p for the imported all you can drink.

But as we are full of the joys of Christmas if you come on the day and pay for your tickets your get 2 free ladies drinks with your ticket.

Happy Days!”

Fields Ave Scenery in front of Kokomoz (video)

by on Jul.11, 2010, under Front Page

July 11th, 2010

This four and a half minute long video captures the everyday hustle and bustle on lower Fields Avenue right in front of Kokomoz.  Sexy doorgirls across the street, bikes and trikes whizzing by, vendors selling all kinds of stuff, girls and guys walking by on their ways to wherever—-this has to be one of the most popular hangout spots in AC.  It’s definitely worth taking a look at, especially if you’ve been in town recently—-you might just spot YOURSELF!

Early morning walk to Kokomoz +2…(video)

by on Jun.09, 2010, under Front Page

June 9th, 2010

Our friend Sukalamea22 on YouTube continues to crank out more random AC videos.  In this one, he walks from Valentino’s Hotel to Kokomoz with his two barfines from the night before.  I see that he went for the cumulative effect in terms of quality.

The one in green top & denim shorts is cuter and “spinner-like”, while the one in pink with green shorts is not-so-pretty face-wise, but sports a killer shaped ass and carries herself in a confident, I-will-fuck-your-brains-out manner.  The two seem to compliment each other very well, which more-then-likely led to a terrific evening for the guy behind the cam.

Kokomoz Pool Party this Sunday at 12 noon!

by on May.28, 2010, under Front Page

May 28th, 2010

If you don’t want to make the trip to Subic this weekend for the Dryden Group pool party at Treasure Island, don’t worry—–you have an alternative in Angeles.   Good ol’ Kokomoz is throwing a pool party on Sunday starting at 12 noon.

It’s p1,200 to get in, including all-u-can-eat buffet, local drinks, 2 ladies drinks and most importantly, girls from 8 different bars!  Lemme tell ya, I’ve had some wild times at many of these Kokomoz pool parties; they usually aren’t over until you see questionable looking substances floating past you in the water, haha.   No, they are not for the faint of heart.  Man up, Nancy!

by on May.18, 2010, under Front Page

May 18th, 2010

Yes, I said it.  One of the most frequently asked questions I get via email and chat is “Hey Jimmy, when and where is the next big pool party?”

Well, here’s your answer:

On Sunday, May 30th, The Dryden Group is throwing a pool party at Treasure Island Resort in Subic.  The party starts at 12 noon and will include more than 50 girls from Wet Spot, Angelwitch, Rum Jungle & Lips Bars.  There will be food, drink, music, dancing, games, photo-taking and more.

Included in the cost of admission will be all-u-can-eat buffet, all-u-can-drink local drinks, and Happy Hour pricing in all Dryden Group Bars all night.  Tickets are available to be purchased at any of the Dryden Group establishments.

Ahhh, Doorgirls. Gotta love ‘em (video)

by on May.07, 2010, under Front Page

May 7th, 2010

They dress sexy.  They scream “Gwapooooo, come inside!”.  They pull you into the bar and make you feel welcome.  And like this guys shows you in his video in front of Voodoo, they even run and get you load for your cell phone.  And it that’s not enough, they give you live, personal entertainment by dancing while you finish your food at Kokomoz.  Here’s to doorgirls, for making us all smile.

The “Flute Girl” playing in front of Kokomoz (video)

by on May.05, 2010, under Front Page

May 5th, 2010

If you’ve been to AC more than once, you surely will recognize this girl.  While she’s only a young girl, she’s already an “iconic” Fields Avenue character.  Like the old “Saluting Wheelchair Guy” (RIP), the “Long-Haired Singer Brothers”, and “Elsie the Peanut Lady”, this little “Flute Girl” has been at her wooden-flute hocking hustle for years now.

Barely 3 feet tall, I remember her serenading me with “My Heart Will Go On” while I sipped my coke-in-a-jar in front of Kokomoz on one of my earlier trips years ago.   As you’ll see in this recent video, she now stands a full 4 feet, and still plays the Titanic music while trying to get your money.  I think that’s the only tune she plays, but that’s not the point, haha.

People like these are the ones who make AC the experience that it is.  It’s not all just about the hot girls in bikinis on-stage in the bars (it’s not? wtf!), there are many of these “background” characters that add to the makeup of the town and give it a unique and interesting identity.  Ok, and all the no-holds-barred sex you have is a pretty big part of it too.

Sub-Delicious: Closed for good

by on May.03, 2010, under Front Page

May 3rd, 2010

Well, after being open for around 7 years or so,  Sub-Delicious is closing its doors.  I first remember eating there in January 2003 and back then it was pretty good.  The place grew quite popular rather quickly, as it provided another conveniently located option to “the big two” of Margarita and Kokomoz.  Their subs, hoagies and pizzas were rather fresh and tasty, and it offered a nice outdoor porch to watch the “parade” of girls going by at the corner of Fields and Raymond.

But things to a steep downhill turn the past couple of years.  The food got worse and the prices got higher.  Bad combination.  So, not surprisingly, they have gone out of business.   Word has it that the new owner of the lot will put an Angus Steak House in place.   Hopefully they know what they are doing.  I haven’t had a good steak in AC since Hole-in-the-Wall went out of business.

The Boys Are Back in Town (Trip Report)

by on Apr.09, 2010, under Front Page

April 9th, 2010

By Filipina Lover

The plane touched down at Manila airport on March 13th, at 6:15pm.  The cabin doors opened, and here we are again, The Philippines.  How I love the smell of diesel fuel, open canals and pollution; I can feel the excitement building.

I hired a van with 3 other men and we were off to Sunset Garden Hotel for the first time. I usually stay at The Orchid Inn but wanted a change this trip.  This being our 9th straight trip, we decided to explore the afternoon bars a little further down on Perimeter Road.  These are the ones less frequented by the first time tourists.

Aside from the money you will save, we found that the bars down there are way friendlier and the girls have more time to enjoy your company.  Some bars worth a look there are Sunshine, Peanuts and Honey-Ko’s.   I have a soft spot for Honey-Ko’s and rate it as one of the best down that way.  It has, in my opinion, the best looking girls by far and is a well run establishment.

Did several bar hops in the Fields Avenue area; the old Roadhouse Club is good fun.  We also tried the new Forbidden Palace opposite KokomosDirty Duck seems to be rocking again, so go early or you will miss out.  It’s a small bar, but very popular at present.
The Fields Complex is eye-catching and can serve as a barhop with the boys or a night out with your special girl; caters for all.

Clarkton Hotel has fantastic food, is very clean and well run.  A quiet escape from the action on Fields, Mirrors Night Club inside of Clarkton has many gems and is also a great place to wind down from the day.

We had the 50th birthday party of one my mates at the Sea Dreams Bar.  Not the biggest bar or best going, but we made the most of the night and there were enough girls to make it a ball and a night to remember.

The restaurants seem to have grown now and an endless supply abounds to satisfy all.  As two of my favorites, I’ll suggest you try Rumpa and Rosalinos restaurants; great food at great prices.

One of the boys in my team enjoyed meeting freelancers at Margarita Station.   Just beware of who you meet and how old they are.  The Philippines is not the place to be locked up in.

A word of warning:  Don’t take ice with your drinks.  I did the first few days, and what I caught was the worst virus ever!  Three days of my vacation wiped out.  Just beware guys, no ice!  Watch what you eat also; stick to mainstream restaurants.

So that’s it guys, another vacation gone.  It was 17 days in Angeles and 2 days in Manila.  This Filipina Lover will be back for more soon!

Remember, there is no one “best bar”.  Each trip is different and the amount of fun you have is totally up to you.  Even though they work for money, the Girls of Angeles will refuse you if they don’t like you.  So freshen up, brush your teeth, change your clothes often and show them respect.  In the end, you will be the winner and have the trip of a lifetime!

Filipina Lover signing off, with a final word of wisdom:  An old Philippines monger proverb, “Smells like fish, tastes like chicken.” Hahaha, bye guys!

Much Anticipated New Club on Fields – Forbidden City

by on Mar.03, 2010, under Front Page

March 3rd, 2010

There has been quite a lot of “buzz” surrounding the 3-story bulk of concrete going up across from Kokomoz the past few months, and now it appears that the time for its opening is finally here.  In case you didn’t know, the Lewis Grand Hotel Group acquired the Dirty Duck bar a lil’ while ago, and since then, it has been one of the most rockin’ clubs on Lower Fields by most accounts; quite a resurgence to its past form after a few years of mediocrity.

This new “mega-bar”, named Forbidden City, is also owned by the LGH group, and will be initially staffed by some of the Dirty Duck girls.  There were also rumors circulating that they were “poaching” some of the hotter girls from various Perimeter bars.  That’s just what we need now, a Tupac-and-Biggie style beef between Perimeter and Fields, haha.

Forbidden City appears to be a big, spacious, show-girl type bar (think Club Atlantis), which is expected to feature choreographed “showgirl” dance routines, following the current prevailing trend by the other “mega-bars”.  Aside from the girl-poaching accusations, some have also criticized the use of a “giant Bhudda statue” decorating the bar’s entrance.

Personally, I don’t give a rat’s ass about political or religious correctness in my third world Asian girlie-bars, but I could understand how some would find that a little questionable.   If you have a problem with it, vote with your feet and stay away; leaves more ass for the rest of us uncouth heathens.

There have also been conflicting reports about the bars exact grand opening date, but according to the latest Doghouse Party schedule, they will have their weekly party at Forbidden City this Saturday, March 6th.  If anyone is in town then, send us the latest on this place so we can spread the word.
