I’ve been getting flooded with emails asking about the raids and if this means the end of AC as we know it.   Calm down guys, AC isn’t going anywhere yet.  You have to realize the crazy, corrupt political climate there has always been delicate and there is always an ebb & flow to these things.  Sure, there’s been a flurry of raids in the past week or so, more girls carted off (umm, rescued?) to Manila and the like.  But what does it all mean?  Especially for the likes of us, the sporadic-visit mongers who come anywhere between 1 and 20 times a year?

I’m going to share with you a post from the AC2 Message Forum, by long-time AC resident Norman (with his permission of course), which puts things in a well-informed perspective.  He sums it all up better than I ever could, but do remember this is very much a “non-bar owner” point of view.   If you’re in the bar owner camp, things may be different, but not many bar owners visit my little site here as it’s mainly for us tourist mongers.

“Lets not call it “AC” or “Angeles City” in these matters, as we can all understand that the City itself has little or nothing to do with the issues and concerns with the little dirty street of Fields and Perimeter Road and their bars.

The local residents in Angeles City have a shit-all concern about the bars on Fields or the foreign visitors it attracts. Most of the power-brokers in AC hold court in places like; Pink Lady, Juliana’s, Engrande, DunkShot, Tycoon, Sideline, Sakai, Models, and the various other KTV/GRO styled joints around AC that cater to the Pinoy upper class. The middle-class converge on the joints on Aniceto Gueco St, passing through Bonifacio on the way to Marquee Mall and the NLEX.

The dregs used to hang out on “Crossing” which used to be mid-town AC, on
Rizal St, between Henson St. and P.Deguzman St. parallel to the rail-tracks. That crown has now set up shop, ironically on that service road running parallel to Lower Fields Avenue.

San Fernando has its share of hangouts to cater to all social classes as well, as does Dau/Mabalacat. For most of those folks, if Fields and it’s bars picked up and blew away bukas, they wouldn’t give a shit.

Look at all the construction and RenoVirus that has hit many places in Angeles city in the last 2 years. Do you think that has any reason to do with the mongers on Fields? Nothing whatsoever and doesn’t even cater to them. There are many Fil-Ams retiring now and moving back to settle in AC, and THAT’S what the explosion of building is all about. Look no farther than Marquee Mall on any evening and especially on the weekend. You will hear more “Americano” spoken by more Filipinos that you can imagine.

AC is slowly becoming like a mini Alabang-wanaabe. The San Fernando Crowd that is now tired of the aging “scene” in San Fernando is hopping on the NLEX with their EC-Tags to leisure in AC. The Fontana Resort is fully booked on a regular basis. Koreans are flooding to play golf and gamble in the Casinos on Clark and in AC.

These groups don’t give a flying fuck about either the entertainment district or the expats in AC.
So, getting that issue out of the way…..to whom do the bars matter?

Well, of course to the bargirls all stranded in AC from the Probince, and of course to the employees of the hotels and restaurants (who by the way, aren’t really NOT overemployed in the pig picture) but the folks who would suffer most from the demise of the bars are…..

a. City Hall – with all it’s licenses, permits, fees, hygiene fees, ID fees….the bars are one massive tit from which to milk fees from. That vast number of different bars with so many employees confined in such a small area of AC, is a gold-nest of FEES for them.
b. The Trikes – yes, our biggest foes are actually are biggest fans. If the bars closed, the Trike Driver association would rain terror on City Hall. This isn’t like the National Government closing Clark. This is City Hall directly cutting off their daily bread!
c. The vendors & beggar syndicates are more powerful than you imagine. Drying up their income base will piss them off mighty bad.

City Hall would be committing a PR suicide if they closed all the bars on Fields/Perimeter. They are the only ones with the legal authority to do it via a City Ordinance. The PNP, NBI, CIDG, DSWD simply cannot legally either convict or close the bars. That fact has been repeatedly proven through the various raids and circumstances over the recent years.

Yes, they can be blind to “justice” and hold some folks for undetermined times, but they cannot do shit all. I think that R.Kelly and his cohorts….like him or not….is actually the first bar-guy to actually put his foot down and not take their shit any more. He is not paying off the cops to get his release, but is FINALLY holding his ground and telling them to go and fuck themselves and charge him, which they are not, cause they have no legal grounds to.

Legally, they cannot charge anyone having to do with any girlie bar for trafficking….when the fucking bar has permits and licenses up to the hilt issued by the local City Hall! There is an entire legal and official “system” set up for those bars on Fields. City Hall treats them like a legitimate, legal and official business establishment with documented, licensed, permit-clad employees, so legally they cannot be latched with any trafficking charge, and neither can their customers. Period. No argument. No contest. The Supreme Court of the Philippines itself couldn’t do anything about it.

Lim closed the bars in Ermita without any cops, NBI, PNP, CIDG, DSWD hoodlums. He did it through his City Hall. He drafted an ordinance which ids-allowed girlie-bars, and that was it. He tried pulling in off again with LA Café, and look what happened…..a little while later…it back in business again. Do you think for a moment that those NGO Groups are THAT stupid not to notice that after any establishment is “raided” and its “victims” rescued…that it soon reopens with the same “victims” back at work again? Do you think that they don’t follow up with those supposedly “rescued” and quickly discover that the entire raid and rescue was a sham?

Notice how it is often some “new” or “different” NGO name that is crying for Raid & Rescue missions. How quickly are they disillusioned, give up and disappear.

The “authorities” do the raids for PR and for payouts. The PR trail is running kinda dry as folks are more aware of the truth of what is going on than ever before. The payouts…well….let’s hope R.Kelly and anyone else stick to their guns.

Just because the CIDG goons don’t have any legal grounds, it doesn’t mean that they cannot try to give someone a hard time. Its all a matter of who blinks first. I hope for R.Kelleys sake that he has someone on the outside who is yanking he goons legally and publicly. Someone is gonna cave, and my bets are it is going to be the authorities.

On a similar note, do you thing the authorities can impress anyone by raiding three bars under seemingly the same ownership while ignoring all the rest? Give me a fucking break. Those NGO and the public sure as heck ain’t THAT stupid. It is obvious to EVERYONE that is a sheer setup/shakedown/extortion.

The USA took the PI off its list for Trafficking concerns……why?…..because of the goons raiding 4 bars and almost immediately releasing everyone? Bullshit!

Sure the raids will stop for a few months until everyone forgets about the recent embarrassing fiasco, ad then they will hit one or several bars again and again and again…until they fuck with the wrong barowner/s and someone rams ENOUGH! up their asses. The Thais don’t even fuck with most bars the majority of time for a reason. They fear retribution and know when to lay still. They have been taught the hard way. The PI folks are due for such a lesson.

If you don’t want the fucking foreigner bars, then fucking close them. Stop barking around and biting their toes. Formally charge someone, convict them in a court of law and jail them, or fucking shut up. Angeles City will NEVER become a “wholesome family tourist destination” so wake up and accept the fact. You can’t even handle your garbage problem, the highest electricity charge in the entire Asean region, and even the trike-fares!

Close all the bars for good or leave them alone. Let them commit their own suicide with their 300php LDs and 3000/4000php Barfines and their ping-pong balls and poppers. The Cell-Sneakout is already the prime currency in AC. The girls don’t give a fuck anymore and the customers are reaping the benefit.

You wanna build mega-bars? You get Mega-Problems. Way to go Richard!”

Well…….off to the races and I must say…..When you do not barhop everyday like I used to do….it seems to be a little bit more exciting….plus new girls everywhere!

Also something I figured out…which just made me laugh…..

Guys attitudes…..is it better to be the experienced, never fall for the bola bola from bargirls….or be the stupid first timer who has no idea how some of these girls can be?

I am starting to think that you will have such a better time with “just having fun with the girls” (first timer) compared to the (I know everything these girls can do to me) types of guys! I know I know some of you guys are so jaded nothing will help but all I can say……Beautiful girls are here for YOU everywhere. EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!

Anyways…..Stopped in After School and BAM…..the girls were happy…..and HAPPY GIRLS mean FUN TIMES (usually). Well had to stay for awhile…..nice relaxing time….but before there….hit…Honeyko’s, Lost in Asia, Roadies…..and than After School.

Than went to Silly Hat…..a few Thi High girls have moved there!

Than off to Fields…..too crazy….especially since I had been at it for awhile!

Starting this Saturday Night, King of Diamonds Bar will introduce “Saturday Night Poke-Her Night”  from 6:00pm until 12 midnight.

Here’s how it works:   You buy a ladies drink and then draw a card from the deck which will be handled by your waitress.  Then, your waitress will draw a card as well.  If your card is higher than the waitresses you get to pick a prize!  However, if the waitresses card is higher than yours, well, as they say, you get “fuck all”, try again!

Now here’s where it gets interesting:  If you draw the “King of Diamonds”, you get up to p500 off your bill!  If your waitress draws the “King of Diamonds”, you buy her a Ladies Drink (single)!

There’s a 1 in 52 chance of that so you guys are bound by the “luck of the draw” I guess would be the best way to put it.   So get out to KOD and try your luck and have some competitive fun as well!
They will run this every Saturday Night indefinitely and see how it goes.  Customer/staff interaction is always a good time!

Well this is a day late as I had to wait for Justjump to email me some pictures as we used his camera.  Posts are much better with sexy pictures I must say….and with that in mind…I mean really…does anything really matter than this….

Anyways…decided to stop in RoadHouse as I really haven’t been there in awhile.  I used to go there with an “Ex” when they had the red uniforms and too me at that time all the girls just looked bland and the same.  This could of easily been because when you are with your girl…and I mean serious girl(not just your barfine for the night) the fun meter goes from about 100 percent down to 20 percent.

Why is this?  Because your girl hates being there thinking you are looking at other girls and she feels she is not good enough and you really can not be your fun jovial self as usual because she will really see how you act in the bar and you don’t want her to know how much fun your having.  So you just both sit there looking miserable…and it is funny, because I have been in that position many times.  For fun…next time you barhop…people watch some serious couples and see if you see a smile or outrageous laughter from either one of them.  There are exceptions…but the more you go out with your serious girlfriend or wife…she starts hating it even though she knows the deal…

We got to RoadHouse around 6:15 and in my opinion one of the best Happy Hours around.  2-for-1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  That simply means 1 dollar a beer night and being on Field avenue…bonus.  Plus they bring you cheese and crackers which goes great with cold SML.  First thing I notice is the red uniforms are gone to be replaced with sexier black or blue jean shorts and sexy bikini style top…much much better.  The next thing I notice is the girls and I can never remember going into this place and being super impressed but this time I was super impressed…almost the entire first lineup was crazy hott.  Lasvegaslites appears to be doing a great job having some nice looking girls. Damn…

We gave out a lot of gifts and as usual…found a girl I could not keep my hands off…if you want a hint…just look at all of the ass shots…I am so looking forward to going back there as it was a fun time for everybody…

We next went over to Typhoon…many many girls and almost too many. I say that because so many girls you really can’t get a good look at one in particular. The waitresses on the other hand are really good looking and it did not take long to have 2 of them all over us. And as I always say…it only takes one good looking girl and I am happy as can be.

We still had some stuff to give away and as always…the girl loved it and it really amazes how happy it makes the girls.  I talked to momma and she said it was a little slow but they always tell me that…of course momma gets special consideration for whatever gifts she wants…gotta keep them happy.  All in all a very enjoyable night and Justjumps last and that always sucks.  We said goodbye and he was on his way to pick up some beautiful girl for sure…

Here’s a cool video of a place rarely talked about on the ‘net, Love & Music Bar.  Located down the end of Lower Fields, past Blue Nile…in what is called “Fields Plaza”.  This guy’s video portrays a sort of “psychedelic” party vibe in L&M.

In just over 4 minutes, the video captures an interesting atmospheric slice of just what a regular night in an Angeles City bar is like.  You have skinny European dude at 02:02, clearly describing to the girls how much extra he’ll pay if they shit on his chest later.

Then, you have chain-smoking Korean dude fondling a coupla cuties at 2:15, followed immediately by two middle-aged men dancing foolishly on the circular stage before leaving—–the muscular one in wife-beater bearing a strong, albeit blurry, resemblance to one of our favorite photo contributors, (Sandman?) haha.

But best of all, the video focuses in on what AC is really all about—–booze and ass!  There was some funky looking writing that went along with this video on YouTube; Russian characters I think.  Anyway, I think the point here is that AC is for everyone to share and enjoy.  Thanks for the video, Comrade!

That’s a real steal in Angeles City these days.  A chill place on Perimeter to sit outdoors and drink cheap beer?  Heck yeah.  So why do they call it “The Doghouse”?  Well, Mr. Pig pisses off Mrs. Pig almost hourly, so he needs a place to hide, haha.  You see, when Mrs. Pig’s gets angry with him, he hides out in their new outdoor Nipa Hut a.k.a, the “Dog House.”

Here’s some recent footage from the newest mega-club in town, Forbidden City.  All accounts describe it as almost an exact copy of Club Atlantis; just a tad smaller with a different decor.  (that garish Bhudda statue, for instance)  Everyone also describes it as overflowing with brown & delicious looking LBFMs, and that is a good thing.

The video starts around the corner of Fields and Santos, by Rhapsody, and follows sukalamae22′s leisurely stroll past Gecko’s, Carousel, Atlantis, then around the block on Raymond and Real streets.  Along the way, you’ll see and hear the glowing nightlife “buzz” of Angeles City in prime time.  I’m usually pretty well incapacitated by this time of night, so it’s nice to get a clearer view of what it looks like, ha.

Funny how some girls don’t mind the camera, but others duck out of the way like they’re dodging a bullet with their name on it.  Check out the girl at 04:11 in this vid, haha.  I guess being inadvertently video-taped on Fields Ave while your Western Union sponsor thinks you’re back home “in da probince” is one of the risks you take trying to earn some extra pesos in AC, huh?  What was it the old circus guy, P.T. Barnum, said?  “There’s a sucker born every minute.”
