10 Things I Love & Hate About AC

Every place has its positives and negatives. Here’s an interesting list of things a frequent AC visitor, “Blazer” from PIatNight, loves and hates about AC. I saw this posted and thought how similar my own list would look, so I decided to add it here too:
~ Love ~
1. Sweet girls that are generally low maintenance.
2. Bareback sex is almost mandatory.
3. Everything is within walking distance for the most part.
4. A lot of girls from all over the Philippines these days; including some hot sweeties from Pampanga and nearby provinces.
5. Beer is cheap and pretty damn good if you order San Mig Lights.
6. A lot more variety in restaurants with decent Mexican, Malay & Thai food now available, although the prices are a joke.
7. Fellow mongers friendly and not acting as if they are in competition with you for barfines.
8. Rarely do girls tell you that that want a short-time session. I prefer short-time sessions but it’s nice to know I have that option if I want it.
9. Every girl that gets a ladies drink nearly always wants to grope and make-out within the first drink or two.
10. No waiters. Some of the waitresses are hot and you can fuck them also, unlike some other destinations.
~ Hate ~
1. Influx of Koreans. Some are rude and smoke like chimneys. Japanese, Malay and Singaporeans are all very cool and I have had them buy me drinks from time to time and by sub versa.
2. Beggars are so plentiful that it is almost scary. The streets are full all the way down Fields with families tugging on your shirt and little kids hanging on you begging for money. Nearly all of the money changers have an army of beggars out front.
3. The plethora of motorbikes suddenly in AC. Ten times as many as 5 years ago. Seems to be Western Union sponsors buying mopeds for their honey-kos and all of the local expats now have them as well. The traffic on Fields is now horrendous at all times of the day and night.
4. Hotels are still overpriced for the quality.
5. Bars like Lollipop which instruct the girls to constantly beg for ladies drinks. Even girls from the stage asking for ladies drinks while shuffling about on stage.
6. Too many locals in Balibago. Get rid of Skytraxx and the Videoke bars near Fields. Tons and tons of bargirl boyfriends and T-birds prowling the streets at night. Tell them to stay the fuck in their shacks and wait for their honey-kos to take a cream-pie and get a tip. In other mongering venues you NEVER see local men hanging out in the red light tourist zones.
7. Ping pong balls, bell ringing and poppers. [J-REG edit: SUPER AGREE w/ this one!]
8. Starting to ask for Christmas tips in October. The Christmas tipping box makes my blood boil more than the girls reminding you to get them pasalubong for their birthday (sometimes they have 4 birthdays a year).
9. The girls’ English level is extremely low compared to 5 years ago or less. Most of the girls I barfined spoke about as much English as I speak tagalong (100 words or so). They cannot speak in complete sentences and have no clue what most of us are saying (although we think otherwise because they shake their heads up and down).
10. Mongers who take a whole large group of girls on barhop after barfining them even though they will be lucky to fuck just one of them. Mongers who fall in love with every girl and constantly take the hot girls and put them on Western Union programs. This is especially funny if you soon realize how many of these girls are MARRIED.

That’s right, ask your beloved Honey-Ko, she probably has about a dozen already!
Ok, this is only a half-joke, but some girls in Angeles seriously would have a dozen if it were true. For a multitude of reasons, guys seem to love sending money to their girls in the Philippines. If we haven’t done so personally, we know of someone who has or we’ve heard and seen it. It’s really quite a phenomenon, and has long been part of the PI-frequenter’s subculture.
I think it would be fair to say that the Western Unions in Angeles City have to be some of the busiest in the World. This brown & delicious thing below has likely picked up a remittance or two in her day, eh?

Add load to your PI phone over the Internet – PhilsLoad.com!

A great idea here, it’s about time someone did it. With PhilsLoad.com, you can add “load” (airtime, minutes) to your Philippines cell phone right over the internet. It’s available for Sun, SMART and GLOBE users. One thing to note, they only accept PayPal at this time, but it’s very fast and simple to create a PayPal account. You can read all of the specifics on their FAQ page, but one of the things I really liked was that you could add load to your PhilsLoad account, and send it later as needed.
I predict this will be a huge hit with all of you “Money-ko’s” out there who have girls on “law-away” in the PI during the many months in between your twice-a-year visits. Now your Honey-ko’s can no longer use that age-old excuse, “Sorry baby, I not txt u back becoz, wala me load.” Now you will know exactly how much load they have, and YOU will be in control of loading their phones—-from wherever you are in the world. Brilliant, isn’t it? I only wish I would’ve thought of it first!
